The Toll Charity Golf Classic will begin with a light lunch followed by 18 holes of championship golf at the beautiful Hope Island Golf Club and Sanctuary Cove The Palms, with dinner being held at The Hyatt. Funds raised from the day and auction will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, so don’t forget to bring your cheque books!

The course will be scattered with promotional activities to provide a different focus from the golf and facilitate networking.

As golf concludes, the night festivities begin! There will be pre-dinner drinks at The Hyatt followed by a sumptuous buffet dinner. A charity auction and presentation of the day’s winners will conclude the formalities, but a band will kick on into the night for those looking to party!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Australia creates magic and hope. It does this by recognising the importance for a child to be able to dream.

For some children who may never live long enough to fulfil their dreams, the Foundation works tirelessly to ensure they become a reality.

2007 marked the 22nd Anniversary of Make-A-Wish in Australia. To date they have granted over 5,000 wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. This year, with your support, they aim to grant a record 575 wishes.

The Foundation fulfils requests that are as diverse as a child’s imagination.

Wishes fall within four categories:
I wish to go …to Disneyland, the Gold Coast, to the snow, etc
I wish to meet …my favourite sports star, television star, pop star, etc
I wish to have …a computer, puppy dog, cubby house, etc
I wish to be …a fairy princess, police officer, fire fighter, etc

With every wish, the Foundation aims to create a world of magic. It’s a world of make- believe, fantasies, miracles and happiness. But most of all, it’s a world where wishes really do come true. We invite you to share the power of a wish through the TOLL Charity Golf Day 2008.
